Senior spotlight: Triniti Carraway Class of 2024

I’m still so happy that Triniti chose me for senior portraits! This session gave me the dose of creativity I desperately needed at the time. I actually jumped for joy and called my sister to talk about about how I just booked a session with a roller derby skater! Triniti, I love these so much and your answers so much!

Tv show: Sleepy Hallow 

Book: Turtles All the Way Down - Just googled that and I love John Green - it’s added to the reading list.

Subject in school: I only have my cosmetology class this year but in previous years it was always my drama class 

Teacher: Dr. Moore-Porter and all my cosmetology teachers! (Ms. Nichols, Mrs. Weadon, and Ms. Chapman)

Pastime: Watching guilty pleasure shows (things like love is blind and the ultimatum) and playing different video games- Love the honesty there!

Top three memories of high school: How fun and relaxing the last day of school always is. Every school dance. Getting to take in real clients for the school salon at tech- Can I be a real client?

Clothing item: Any of the 5 different pairs of black cargo pants I have- I can relate I probably have 20 pairs of black athletic leggings.

Lunch spot : Sushi bomb, Olive garden, or Texas Road House

About the future…

You’re done with high school, what is your next move? Going to Shepherd University to get a bachelors degree in theater!

What do you hope to be doing in the next 5 years and where? Graduated from Shepherd, a part time cosmetologist who specializes in barbering, maybe starting a tattoo apprenticeship, and starting to get into theater professionally! I wanted to be a tattoo artist for a while when I was in high school and then I got distracted… I have a feeling you really will be doing all those things in 5 years.

What’s the number one world issue you would solve if you could? World hunger and homelessness.

What is your dream career (even if it’s just a dream) ? Tattoo artist or a Broadway actress!

Pretend money ain’t no thang- where are you gonna go on vacation right now? Michigan to see my brother and nieces

You can only eat one thing for the rest of your life. What’s it gonna be? sushi

If your pet could talk, what do you think they might say about you? My cat, Astro, would probably talk about how much I bother her but she tolerates it because I always give her treats when she wants.

What is your proudest (maybe not biggest) accomplishment so far: Becoming a licensed cosmetologist while getting my high school diploma and getting first place in states for skills USA for barbering! That’s so awesome!

Any obscure talents? I can memorize things pretty quickly, like watching a movie once and already being able to quote a lot of it the next time I watch it. That is fascinating! I would really like to know more about your brain now 🤔

What’s a skill you don’t have but want to learn? Getting better at cooking or baking. Ah me too! Sadly, I’m nothing without my air fryer!
